Nestum Cookies

A fellow shopper at Phoon Huat told me told me about the Nestum Cookies she baked and even shared with me her recipe sometime back. I hadn't gone to baking a batch myself because I did not write down the recipe then. Recently several bakers shared their Nestum Cookies bakes and I didn't hesitate to buy a packet of Nestum cereal as I know it it time to try out a batch myself.

Fudgy Brownies

I baked a tray of fudgy brownie a few weeks back after the passing of my aunt. She had a big influence over my interest in baking as I used to watch her bake when I was much younger.

I'll always remember how my cousins and I would be her 'helpers' whenever it was time to make Lunar New Year goodies. We were most happy to 'lap up' any broken pieces of cookies then. :)

No Churn Cookies & Cream Ice Cream

My girl has been bugging me to make Cookies & Cream Ice Cream for a while. Now that the mid year school holiday has been advanced to May, I decided to make this ice cream together with her.

Burnt Cheesecake

I learnt how to bake this Burnt Cheesecake a couple of weeks ago and realised I've not documented it my blog. This cake was a craze a while back and I'm glad I finally got to bake it finally.

This is a surprisingly easy cake to make and the ingredients are  rather basic. The recipe I am documenting in this blog is a basic one. You can tweak this basic recipe to have different flavoured burnt cheesecakes (eg. matcha, chocolate, vanilla, etc)

Sesame Almond Florentine

I've always been using the recipe here and here to make Almond Crisps. This year,  I am using florentine premix bought from Phoon Huat to make this wonderfully addictive snack.

Cranberry Shortbread Cookies

I wonder why I've not blogged on this shortbread cookie. Glad I'm finally doing so!

This is a wonderful recipe and a great make-ahead. You can prepare the dough in advance and keep it in the freezer. When you are ready or in need of a cookie fix, just take the dough out from the freezer, slice, bake, and ta-da...you're ready to serve hot-from-the-oven shortbread cookies!

Matcha Butter Cookies

I've added some matcha powder to make a slight variation to these melt-in-the-mouth Copycat Jenny's Butter Cookies that I've tried out here. Loving the subtle matcha flavour in these fragrant cookies.

Bake & Celebrate : Cookies and Treats

It's here! I'm back from my holidays and received my very own copy of "Bake & Celebrate : Cookies and Treats" in my mail.

This book is a collection of 42 mouthwatering and irresistible cookies and treats lovingly contributed by selected top food and lifestyle bloggers and instagrammers from Singapore and the region. It is now in stores and will be a definite wonderful gift for family and friends during this festive season!

I would like to thank Marshall Cavendish International (Asia) Pte Ltd for giving me this opportunity to be part of this cookbook.

Not only am I elated to be able to share recipes that I love, I also want to take this opportunity to motivate my girl when she sees her mommy's bake published in a book! She was very inspired to write and even talked about wanting to be an author and have her works published when two authors went to her school earlier on this year. This is a very heartwarming gift for my family and I, and I'm sure you will be able to find many recipes that you'll love in this cookbook for this festive season's bakes!

Cheers!

Guilt-free Swirled Ribena Cheesecake (Non-baked)

This is a late post. We celebrated my girl's 8th birthday early this month and I made a cheesecake...in fact I made two as my brother's birthday was a day after hers. I made a mini one to surprise her on her actual day and a bigger one for the two 'birthday boy and girl'. Everyone enjoyed the cake and I especially enjoyed the time spent together. Though it was only a mini family get-together, I truly treasured every moment.

Nutella Butter Cookies

The melt-in-the-mouth butter cookies I baked recently was very well received. My hands got 'itchy' over the weekend and since I want to finish up the bottle of my favourite NUTELLA, I decided to make another batch of butter cookies but this time, added with nutella!
