Cranberry Cheese Wool Roll Bread

I'm jumping onto the bandwagon to make Wool Roll Bread that has been trending. It gets its name 'Wool Roll' because it is rolled up like ball of wool. Lol!!

Japanese Cheesecake

My husband especially loves cheesecake. But not the dense baked cheesecakes or the non-baked chilled cheesecakes. His favourite is those soft cottony Japanese cheesecakes.

Burnt Cheesecake

I learnt how to bake this Burnt Cheesecake a couple of weeks ago and realised I've not documented it my blog. This cake was a craze a while back and I'm glad I finally got to bake it finally.

This is a surprisingly easy cake to make and the ingredients are  rather basic. The recipe I am documenting in this blog is a basic one. You can tweak this basic recipe to have different flavoured burnt cheesecakes (eg. matcha, chocolate, vanilla, etc)

Cream Cheese Swiss Meringue Buttercream

I baked a batch of Red Velvet Cupcakes (recipe found here) recently for my nephew's first month baby shower and had frosted the cupcakes with Cream Cheese Swiss Meringue Buttercream.

For normal frostings on cakes and cupcakes, I will use the Swiss Meringue Buttercream (SMBC) recipe here. However, for red velvet cakes, I will add in whipped cream cheese to my SMBC have a Cream Cheese Swiss Meringue Buttercream.

Cream Cheese Chiffon Cake

I love chiffon cakes. Not only is it such a light cake, it is also a very versatile cake as you can transform a basic chiffon into many and any flavour you want.

I have some cream cheese left over from a previous bake and decided to use it to make a Cream Cheese Chiffon Cake.

Marmite Ketchup Chicken Cheese Baked Rice

I love baked rice  At the same time, I will also never fail to add in a teaspoon of marmite to my bowl of porridge. That is why I know I will want to attempt this dish when I chanced upon this recipe.

Charcoal Chocolate Chip Cheese Bun

My small bottle of bamboo charcoal powder from Phoon Huat was sitting in my counter and since we are running out of bread for breakfast, I decided to bake a batch of black beauty buns!

I did just that and baked a batch of pull-apart charcoal buns with chocolate chips and cream cheese added. It's soft, moist and yummy!!

Castella Cheese Cake

I first tried this cake when I was in Taiwan. I was not aware it was such a very popular cake then. Being the typical Singaporean, I just joined the queue when I see one. My justification - if there is a queue, it must to GOOD! Lol!

Well, it sure did not disappoint. It's like a sponge cake but super fluffy and jiggly. I loved it to the max! I've been missing this cake since, until my friend shared this recipe with me. I'm not sure where she got the recipe from. Only remembered her saying it was passed to her from another friend. So...to whoever who shared this awesome recipe, thanks for sharing and bringing back the lovely Taiwan memory!

Mango Tofu Cheesecake and Cheese Tart

My darling girl turned 9 yesterday. As it's the mango season and she absolutely loves mangoes, I've decided to make her a Mango Tofu Cheese Tart to surprise her on her birthday.

Toffee Choco Crunch Cheesecake (Non-baked)

I've been scratching my head over what cake to prepare for my hubby's birthday. I had wanted to make something with custard but time was not on my side to make anything too time-consuming or elaborate. Since cheesecake is something he enjoys, I decided to make a non-baked cheesecake.

I've recently bought a packet of toffee chocolate and my family really enjoyed it. So I decided to use this and some coco crunch to make a Toffee Choco Crunch Cheesecake to surprise my dear hubby on his special day!

Baked Cheese Tarts

I've heard these cheese tarts are very popular especially in Japan and some Asian countries and have seen snaking queues for these delectable tarts at the stores. An outlet has just opened recently in sunny Singapore's Ion Orchard and we've seen crowds queuing for 2 hours for these Baked Cheese Tarts!

Guilt-free Swirled Ribena Cheesecake (Non-baked)

This is a late post. We celebrated my girl's 8th birthday early this month and I made a cheesecake...in fact I made two as my brother's birthday was a day after hers. I made a mini one to surprise her on her actual day and a bigger one for the two 'birthday boy and girl'. Everyone enjoyed the cake and I especially enjoyed the time spent together. Though it was only a mini family get-together, I truly treasured every moment.

One-Pot Cheesy Broccoli Penne

The thick haze shrouding the Republic these past weeks has in many ways affected our normal activities. Outdoor activities are shelved due to the haze and many are staying indoors as much as possible, for as long as the haze condition is at dangerous levels.

Wanting to avoid stepping out of the house for meals during busy week days, I'm all for quick and easy one-pot dishes/meals. This is one of those dishes that I whipped up in a jiffy to feed my family on a busy week night.

Raspberry Swirl Whipping Cream Cheese Pound Cake

Raspberries have been on sale at the local supermarkets. I've always found these lovely berries so pretty and uplifting to look at! It was no wonder that I did not hesitate to buy a punnet of raspberries to include in my bakes for my gathering with friends during Singapore's Jubilee weekend.

Oreo Cheesecake

I was scratching my head over what to bake for my dearest hubby's birthday and decided upon this baked Oreo Cheesecake.

I rarely make baked cheesecakes as I always thought it is cumbersome and time consuming as you will need to steam bake the cheesecake, leave the cake to cool in the oven for up to an hour, then remove from oven to further cool on the wire rack, chill in the fridge overnight before I can finally sink my teeth into the cake.

Patience. That's what you will need. But after this round of baking. I can only say this...

It's worth the wait.

Carrot Cake

This was one cake that got me really intrigued when I first heard of its name many years back. You see, I've only had carrot cake - black or white at Singapore's local hawker centres or foodcourts all these while until I had my first Carrot Cake at Olio Dome years back.
