Ho! Ho! Ho! 'Tis the season to be jolly! I especially love Christmas season because it's so full of holiday and festive mood! What's more, there's also lots of parties, year-end gatherings and celebrations.
This Vanilla Log Cake is prepared especially for my company's Christmas party. Nothing fanciful, just a simply yummy log cake! :)

I had my first biscotti when I was at a coffee joint many years back. I remembered how intrigued I was at how hard and crunchy this cookie snack was and how well it went with my cup of coffee.

This is the first time I'm baking a fruit cake. This is one cake that my aunt will make and serve together with other goodies during Chinese New Year. During this festive Christmas season, I'm baking us a fruit cake, with booze added.

Bookmarked this when I first saw it on youtube by Ochikeron and planned to trick by hubby with this during this festive Christmas period. I'm sure he'll be taken in thinking I've poured him a glass of beer!

Hokkaido Chiffon Cupcake started to be very popular a few years ago. I remembered a pack of 6 from Polar would cost S$12. I would buy them as my hubby loved custard....until my friend shared with me a Hokkaido Chiffon recipe.

I love pecans for it's unique buttery and caramel flavour and custard for it's sweet and creamy texture. These two put together and served in a buttery and crisp shortbread crust will be a heavenly pair.

I was craving for my favourite local snack - Muah Chee and made a small batch to munch on. But this time, I gave this snack a slight twist by adding grinded black sesame to it. That's the beauty of home-bakes. You can whip up anything to satisfy your cravings in the comfort of your home anytime.

I had just opened a pack of whipping cream and was pondering what to make out of the leftover cream. This pound cake recipe came in really handy as it required whipping cream. Yay!! No wastage and the best part of it is this cake is really yummy!! Look what my girl showed me after taking a bite:

This is one soup that I enjoy especially on cool weather. It is good on its own as a quick & easy one-pot dish if I add vermicelli (tung hoon), or accompany with other dishes with a bowl of rice. It's super quick & easy, and extremely versatile. You can have a very basic kimchi + tofu soup, or add in more ingredients like meat, crab meat or vermicelli for a more sumptuous and complete meal.
The best part is...it's ready in minutes!!

Did this a I few days back as I have some left over pumpkins from making Pumpkin Ondeh Ondeh and was craving for brownie. So the idea just came to me to bake a brownie with pumpkin in it! It's super quick and easy to make and requires minimal washing as you only need 1 bowl to mix everything together.

Ondeh Ondeh, a popular traditional Malay and Peranakan dessert, is a bite-sized boiled glutinous rice ball filled with gula melaka and coated with grated coconut. What I love most about these delectable snack is the burst of melted gula melaka into your mouth when you put these chewy bite-sized balls in your mouth. It's truly a symphony of texture and flavour in your mouth. Heavenly!

I love kaya. Love it so much that I can eat it on its own. It's not that healthy as there are lots of eggs used to make kaya traditionally. So this Pumpkin Kaya recipe that I chanced upon got me really excited, because no eggs are required at all!

I've been wanting to make this Pumpkin Soup for the longest time. Finally had a chance to do this for a quick meal, literally as I'm having a bowl of this with some croutons for my lunch!

I've been making a fair bit of pumpkin related dishes and snacks this month. This is another dessert I've tried...Pumpkin Beancurd that uses agar agar powder instead of the instant jelly powder I usually use to make Chilled Beancurd.

This is great for breakfast or if you just want to settle your hunger pangs in a jiffy. There is hardly any cooking required for this. But this is really healthy for all, regardless of what age you are.

I had my first taste of this delectable dessert many years back on my first holiday trip to Taiwan. I remembered it was autumn when I went there. The dessert was served warm and it was such a fantastic feeling eating the QQ balls in the cool weather. Loved it at first bite!

I had intended to cook pumpkin rice for dinner yesterday. When preparing the ingredients, blur me realised I had run out of rice. Thankfully I had a pack of rice noodles (bee hoon to be exact) and cooked Pumpkin Fried Rice Noodles instead.

This super healthy dessert was featured in Channel U's "Healthy U: Episode 2". This is the first time I am watching this show and find it really informative and enlightening. This episode talks about the damaging effects of preservatives and additives on our body. It is very common for us to consume food with seasonings that are chemically combined and have adverse effect on our body. Over time, toxins may build up in our body. Hence, it is very important that we try to avoid excessive intake of such chemicals and eliminate the toxins from our body.

I was at a bakery at Fortune Centre the other day oogling at their wonderful creations and deciding what bread to buy, simply because they have so many interesting types of breads. One of them that caught my eye was black sesame with azuki bun. Since I've run out of bread for breakfast, I decided to try baking some Black Sesame Red Bean Buns.

I have to thank Ann for this inspiration! I've made Vitagen Pudding using vitagen and agar agar powder previously but I've never thought of adding pumpkin to agar agar to make a refreshing snack.

I was deciding what to bake for my girl to bring to school for their Children's Day celebration. Something with chocolate and berries but not too chocolatey...and finally decided on making Cranberry & Oat Cookies.

I've some left over pumpkin in the fridge after cooking pumpkin rice for lunch and was deliberating whether to use it to bake a cake or a loaf of bread. Finally decided to use it together with some soya milk to make a Pumpkin Soya Bread Loaf by adapting the Wu Bao Chun's (吴宝春) Champion Bread Loaf I did earlier.

I've baked some brownies and decided to use it as one of my ingredients for my home made ice-cream to beat the hot weather! Wait...not just any other ice cream. It's an ice cream laced with Irish-Bailey's...Bailey's Banana Nut Brownie Ice-Cream.
