Luo Han Guo with Chrysanthemum and American Ginseng Fiber Tea (罗汉果洋参菊花茶)

The weather has been relentlessly hot of late. I've brewed a big pot of luo han guo with chrysanthemum and american ginseng fiber(罗汉果洋参菊花茶) for the whole family to drink to beat the heat.

This herbal tea is one that my mom will always brew whenever anyone in the family is not well or when the weather is hot and dry. We drink this regularly to maintain general health by eliminating the heat in the body which may lead to feverish illness. The three ingredients used all have this cooling properties. In addition, luo han guo is also used as an expectorant and antitussive to treat lung congestion, cough, other respiratory ailments and sore throat.

This is a refreshing drink that I particularly enjoy when it is chilled!
