I love munching on nuts. I've recently made a small batch of candied pecans to munch on and I must say it's really very addictive! I used brown sugar and spiced up the snack with some cinnamon and nutmeg powder. Gosh! The aroma in the kitchen is just unbelievably superb!
It is really quick and easy to make and this time I made it without using the oven. It is super simple.
Spiced Candied Pecans (Non-baked)
Ingredients:
100g pecan halves
100g pecan halves
60g brown sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
1/4 tsp nutmeg powder
2 tbpsn water
Method:
1. Put brown sugar, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg powder into a non-stick pan. Stir in water and cook over medium heat until sugar has melted and gets bubbly.
2. Add in the pecan halves. Continue to cook while stirring for another 5 minutes so that the pecans are coated with the sugar mixture until the sugar mixture cooks down.
3. Remove from heat and spread the pecans onto a big plate or tray.
4. Let cool completely before storing in an air-tight container.
