Enoki Pork Rolls

I was attracted to Abigail Ngan's sharing in 'Flavours 特色风味' facebook group and made a mental note to try making this dish over the weekend.

This is certainly a great dish to go with steamed white rice. Thumbs up!

Easy Portuguese Egg Tart

I've always enjoyed eating Portuguese egg tarts. Fell totally in love with it especially when I first tried the Lord Stow's Portuguese egg tart in Macau. Every mouthful of those rich and creamy egg custard paired with the tart pastry is just TO-DIE-FOR!

Mee Siam Goreng

The first time I tried dry version of mee siam was many years back at a shop called Tea Shake Hut. It was love at first bite for me. I recalled the plate of yummy fried mee siam will also come with a piece of finger-linking-good chicken wing. This shop is now no more but I still enjoy a plate of fried mee siam or mee siam goreng at other stalls.

I bought a packet of mee siam goreng premix recently and whipped a Quick and Easy Mee Siam Goreng meal for hubby and myself. I would never have thought of making my own mee siam goreng paste from scratch so I'm ever so thankful for such idiot-proof premix packaging.

Cookies & Cream Ice Cream

I do not own an ice cream maker, but that has not deterred me from making my own ice-cream and popsicle to beat the hot weather here in sunny Singapore.

Yes, you heard me right. You CAN make your very own ice-cream without an ice-cream maker and it is super duper easy!

Bubur Terigu (大麦)

Bubur Terigu or 大麦 is a local dessert first introduced to me by a friend many years back. Though I enjoy this dessert, I rarely order this as it can be rather filling.

I've been having an urge to try making local desserts myself and I thought of trying to make this after another local dessert - Bubur Hitam I attempted recently was well received.

Spiced Candied Pecans (Non-baked)

I love munching on nuts. I've recently made a small batch of candied pecans to munch on and I must say it's really very addictive! I used brown sugar and spiced up the snack with some cinnamon and nutmeg powder. Gosh! The aroma in the kitchen is just unbelievably superb!

Purple Sweet Potato Caterpillar Bun

I made a batch of bread buns for our breakfast and for my girl to bring to school for her snack. I added purple sweet potato to the bun and had kaya as fillings to the buns. Simply love the sight of purplish pink buns!

Banana Walnut Bread

Banana and Walnut...one of my favourite combo in a cake. This is another yummy cake baked for gathering with friends during the long Singapore Jubilee weekend.

This is a very simple loaf cake. It's basically a mix wet ingredients to dry ingredients cake and involves minimal washing.

Raspberry Swirl Whipping Cream Cheese Pound Cake

Raspberries have been on sale at the local supermarkets. I've always found these lovely berries so pretty and uplifting to look at! It was no wonder that I did not hesitate to buy a punnet of raspberries to include in my bakes for my gathering with friends during Singapore's Jubilee weekend.

Blueberry Crumble

Blueberry Crumble....I knew I had to make this the moment I saw Ann's post. It's so juicy and succulent. I bookmarked the recipe immediately and made a mental note to make this soon.
